2 Thessalonians 2:15-17 Stand Firm

As Paul closes the main body of his second letter to the church at Thessalonica he directs them to stand firm. They had been deceived into believing false teaching and the Apostle desired to encourage them to hold to the truth. The modern believer faces many challenges with deceptive ideology that abounds in society and in the church. The charge to stand firm and hold to the truth is deliberate and intentional action that all believers should engage in.
