2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 The Anti-Christ

In this passage, Paul expands on a subject he introduced in the previous verses, the man of lawlessness, the son of destruction, a person known elsewhere in scripture as the Anti-Christ. This will be a human, supernaturally empowered by Satan, who will bring forth an evil on the world that is unparalleled in human history. Satan desires to bring this embodiment of evil on the scene but the Holy Spirit is currently restraining this activity. In God's perfect timing, the restrainer will be taken out of the way and the mystery of lawlessness will be revealed, which will ultimately be destroyed by the breath of the mouth of Jesus the Messiah.
