Waipio Grace Brethren Church is the result of a community of people, working together to see God move mightily in the Hawaiian Islands.
WGBC was started in 1953 by Pastor Foster Tresise and his wife Peggy who were dedicated to be a church that met the spiritual needs that existed within their community. This mission was continued in 1983 with Pastor Allen David Mitchell and his wife Betty-Lou. They served at WGBC for the next 24 years nurturing the congregation and keeping it rooted in the God's Word. WGBC welcomed Pastor Frank L. Figueroa Jr. and his wife April in 2008. Their desire is to continue following the vision that was laid from the foundation - equipping God’s people with His Word so that they can serve Him and the community in which they live.

Pastor Dave & Betty Lou served at WGBC from 1983 - 2007.
Peggy Tresise is the wife of the founding pastor of Waipio Grace Brethren Church, Foster Tresise. She went home to be with the Lord on 10/20/2010 at the age of 99. Foster preceded her and went home to be with the Lord several years ago.
