Restoration and Receiving the Spirit

At the climatic apex of Joel's prophetic symphony, we finally find the promise of restoration in the immediate, imminent, and ultimate Day of the Lord. However, the people are also promised something far better than just green fields and rain, they are promised the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which is partially fulfilled in the early Church.
