Waipio Grace Brethtren Church:
Waipio Grace Brethren Church is a fellowship that is committed to following the example of Jesus by loving God and loving our neighbors. As a neighbor, we would like to extend our aloha by opening our doors and inviting you to join us for a time of Bible study, worship, and fellowship.
Waipio GBC is a true example of the "melting pot', or "tossed salad" of culture that we have in Hawaii. Our congregation is truly diverse. While there are so many cultural, social, ethnic, etc. variations among the people at WGBC, our love for each other and, most of all, for our Lord Jesus binds us together. We really are truly a FAMILY. Many of our members grew up in WGBC and are now raising their own children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren in the Church.
Teaching, ministering, loving . . . this is what Jesus was all about. In following His example, we at Waipio Grace Brethren Church hope to provide a place for our community where we can teach God’s Word, minister to people, and love each other as a family.
Teaching God's Word:
The expository preaching of the Bible is a must within our fellowship. We are not about man-made philosophies, or feel good messages, but are determined to make the inerrant Word of God the center of all we do. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Ministering To People:
One of our biggest privileges is to serve you as Jesus has served us. We provide teaching, counseling, activities, and studies for those of all ages. We also provide opportunities for you to serve along side of us so that we can together serve the Lord as we serve others around us. “And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:44-45
A Loving Family:
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12-13 Those who receive Jesus become a part of God’s family. He initiates the relationship and in turn we have to respond to His love. We also invite you to be a part of our family at Waipio Grace Brethren Church. We hope we have initiated a relationship that will last throughout eternity and we’ll see you soon.
A Melting Pot:
There are many people and ministries from a variety of denominations and fellowships that influence our church and our pastor. Much of what you will hear or read have been gleaned from men of God moved by the Spirit to relate God's truth to the heart's of men. Our prayer is that wherever these ideas may have been originally spoken, they will all be used to bring glory to the only One Who is worthy . . . Our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
